Philosophy

Delta's forte is effecting and implementing change- unleashing the talent, know-how, and creativity that exists at all levels of the organization.

Three decades ago, when Delta began, the focus was on assisting first-line managers. It was discovered that often employees were promoted because of technical or clinical expertise, yet frequently they lacked the skills and training necessary to cope with the requirements of the new position.

Delta has since implemented hundreds of programs designed to narrow the gap between first-line management capability and the demands of the job. Our programs strengthen these managers by providing them with the tools, training and confidence to effectively utilize their resources.

Delta's Typical Program Philosophy is as follows:

  • Change - The most important ingredient for success is the process of effecting and implementing change. This is Delta's forte. We act as the catalyst for change.

  • Culture - This set of shared attitudes, values, goals and practices, which characterize the organization, must be clearly understood to have a successful effort. Culture is a direct result of the behaviors and actions that are being reinforced by senior management. Once the culture is clearly understood, strategies and initiatives can be effectively achieved.

  • Buy In - Ownership at the top is not sufficient for successful implementation. All levels of management must participate in real ways throughout the process. Delta helps unleash the talent, know-how, and creativity that exists at all levels of the organization to ensure ownership.

  • Organization Specific - We know that no two operating entities are alike. Organizational structure, services, layouts, functions, and people are different and each unique. Therefore, canned solutions are inappropriate. Our efforts are tailored to the specific needs of each individual client.
